Last year more than 400 participants consisting of students, speakers, investors and start-ups from all over Europe participated at the University of St.Gallen. The goal is to generate more attention for the subject of entrepreneurship and to make the University St.Gallen more renowned in this thematic. The next START Summit, on the 17./18. April 2015, will have even more members and our team of 31 students works hard for that. In order to make our dream come true and to make a bigger impact we need your help to continue growing. According to our motto: “Don’t be innovative, be disruptive.”
START global, the student committee behind the START Summit, was found 1996 by students of the University of St.Gallen. In 2000 the first Summit was held and since then it has been growing steadily. This year we also introduced START & Friends. Within five START Jams a long the year the students at the University of St.Gallen can learn from stars of the start up world and get closer to the industry. Due to this START is more present during the semester.
Our vision is to spread the spirit of entrepreneurship among young and motivated students. The START Summit a long with the slogan ‚don’t be innovative, be disruptive’ to enforce a revolution to strive for. We want to help and support them. There are workshops with renowned companies and speeches with start up well-known personalities. Additionally we offer social get-togethers such as speed pitching or a hackathon.
Among the participants there are many students from other European universities. Local students offer their homes to accommodate them. Therefore we also enhance the exchange between the different universities.
Our goal is to get larger and to connect the University of St.Gallen and their students closer to the world of entrepreneurship.
We appreciate every donation and hope to welcome you personally at the START Summit 2015.
